CCFA and St Francis Rose Croix Chapter presented a refrigerator to the
Dialysis Centre of the Coffs Harbour Base Hostpital on Tuesday 6th December 2022

The Annual CANDO CANCER TRUST Charity Bowls Day
was held at the Sawtell Bowling Club on Sunday 13th November 2022

 

 

CCFA Representative RWBro. Doug McCumstie presented CANDO Chair Person Julie Jardine
with a cheque for $6170 which included a $3000 interaction grant from MASONICARE

The annual CANDO CANCER TRUST Charity Bowls Day
was held at the Woolgoolga Bowling Club on Sunday 31st July 2022

 

 

 

The toal amount raised was $21,400 which included a MASONICARE Grant of $6000 and a special CEX Club Grant of $6000

CCFA and Lodge The Raleigh presented students of Bellingen High School with Certificates
for being good Samaritan's and performing charitable deeds.
These awards were accompanied with a cheque for $75

On March 12th CANDO CANCER TRUST in association with Coffs Coast Freemasons held the
annual Rottnest Island Charity Relay swim at the Coffs Harbour swimming pool.
The purpose was to swim the equivalent distance from Cottesloe Beach to Rottnest Island.
This is a distance of 19.7 KM, which is an annual event in Western Australia.
All money raised in the Coffs Harbour swim goes to the CANDO CANCER TRUST
Total amount raised on the day was $8,500.00 which included an interaction grant from MASONICARE

Our 12th annual Charity Swim was held on Saturday 12th March and I am pleased to say that with MASONICARE
this has increased the amount we raised for this event to over $8,500.
This will assist around 15 local cancer patients and their families so well done!
Thank you to Andria and the Coffs Coast Freemasons for assisting Charmaine & I on the day to run the event.
The Awards for the Day went as follows (Judged by Wayne & Julie)
Best Business House - Cex Group (43 laps)
Most Laps Completed - Forestry Corporation NSW 1 (48 laps)
Best Community Team - HTW North Coast Valuations (40 laps)
School Community Award - SJPC (sponsored by The Edge Real Estate) (44 laps)
Well done to all the teams who supported our charity swim again this year. Some of the highlights were;
The Lodge Raleigh, well done with 2 swimmers who swam a combined 57 laps in the 30 minute period - thank you for being a part of this Peter
Nab and BCU with 40 laps won the battle of the banks with, ANZ 38 laps and CBA 32 laps were strong contributors
North Coast V Twins - 40 laps, well done Ian and the team
Coffs Coast Hockey led by Karen Briscoe were great doing 32 laps
HQB No 1 with 36 laps and and No 2 with 34 laps had a great staff engagement day again and improved on 2021
Forestry Corporation NSW 2 well done with 36 laps
Coffs Tri Club have been with us since the start and did 42 laps - improvement on last year
Coffs Council - get to see you with a team this year and completing 40 laps - great stuff
Chlorine Machines (sponsored by Clout Advisory) (42 laps) - great work girls, just piped by SJPC for the school award
MNNCI Dory's - 36 laps and the Cando Kids a fantastic 24 laps
MNNCI Linear Accelerators - 38 laps and were strong
Thank you to the Coffs Coast Freemasons and Masonicare for their support on the day and by way of donation to the cause.
A big thank you to Richard and the team at Coffs Harbour Olympic Pool for providing free pool entry and lane hire on the day.
We will contact each of the 4 teams below to arrange presentation of your trophy in the coming week.
Our 13th Annual Swim will be held in March 2023, we will send out a save this date before Xmas so you have the date locked in.
